Community

In this section, I’d like to share with you some of the passionate people and organizations that I got to work with. They make work fun and exciting.

In my senior year in college, I was very fortunate to be part of the Microsoft Student Partners Program where I met a lot of highly motivated student leaders that influenced and served as my inspiration to continuously involve myself in community work.

The Microsoft Student Partners (MSPs) are a group of on-campus ambassadors of Microsoft technologies who helps fellow students, lead the local community, and develop technical skills to evangelize the latest tech trends.

On my last year in college I formed and founded the APC-Microsoft Community (APC-MSC). My initial goal is to share the perks and privileges that I got from working with Microsoft. It then grew to become the organization that it is now.

Two years after, I became the org-adviser. I mentor the students and the future leaders to serve the community using technology to their advantage.

Early 2019, I was invited to facilitate a two-week tech bootcamp for Grade 12 students in Roxas City in partnership with Spring Valley.

“Through the Immersion Program (Tech Boot camp) which took place at the headquarters of Spring Valley Tech, Senior High School students of Colegio de la Purisima Concepcion experienced a 10-day educational journey which tackled practical knowledge on issues surrounding computer science and information technology.”,

Together with some friends from UXPH, we were able to bring The World Information Architecture Day 2020 locally — here in Manila. The WIAD 2020 is an internationally celebrated event about how Information Architecture has made a difference in our lives and in the way of accessing knowledge.

Once in a while, I make sure to involve myself to community events. This enables me to keep up to the latest trends and build my network.
